Jesus said, "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" (Mt 6:21). Today was a full sensory experience as we drove out of the city to Hawassa. Around every corner we are finding new things to wonder and reflect upon.
Becca Little said, "Everywhere you look there are little hidden treasures. You just have to keep your eyes open" (pictured here with the "small bottle of water" ordered at lunch). I am so thankful to be with a group that values seeking these treasures with gratitude to God and those who sent us. Each person including Lorraine and Tamiru have pointed out these "treasures". I'm starting to predict who will notice what. I am surrounded by saints. Looking forward to a week full of more. Just the tip of the iceberg. This is an amazing country with beautiful people.
Here are a couple more images of "hidden" treasures...
You are all treasures!

ReplyDeleteI love that what we would consider the "ordinary" and the "exotic" are seen as treasures. If we learn to see with the eye of God, we will see all with value. Blessings on your trip--may your eyes remain wide open 💓
ReplyDeleteHearing reports of difficult weather conditions in Jigjiga--praying for all, and praying you are safe.
